Manufactured from High-Density Alumina Ceramic core, backed with layered polymer composite fiber. Rounds are absorbed by this plate on impact, rather than deflected or fragmented. The GD-Multi-Curve Level III+ plates are designed to provide a more affordable option for Level III rifle rated armor with Special Threat Protection against M855 and 7.62×39 Mild Steel Core. Validated according to NIJ 0101.06 ballistic standards at Chesapeake Testing, the world’s most trusted NIJ Certified laboratory, but have not been put through the complete NIJ Certification test due to the limited number available from the COVID pandemic. They are however guaranteed to perform against all stated threats with ultimate minimal backface deformation, greatly outperforming every plate in its class.
