GD-INVADER Full-Cut IIIA Ballistic Helmet
The INVADER Full-Cut IIIA Ballistic Helmet provides the next generation helmet protection sought by the global military and law enforcement. It delivers small arms and rifle protection at the standard combat helmet weight.

Intended Use: This Ballistic Helmet provides protection from the threats listed in the specification. All users must be fully trained in the safe use of this Ballistic Helmet. The helmet is tested in accordance with • NIJ Standard 0106.01 for Ballistic Helmets with NIJ 0108.01 IIIA Ballistic threats. • STANAG 2920 for .22 Caliber – 17 gr(1.1 gram) FSP and 7.62×51 M80 FMJ. • MIL-STD662F for 2 gr, 4 gr, 16 gr & 64 gr RCC Fragments. • AR/PD 10-02 (Latest version) for blunt impact protection and 9mm RTP/BTD.

The versatile geometry of the helmet is similar to the U.S. Army Advanced Combat Helmet (ACH) and allows for the use of accessories, such as communications systems, eye, ear, and respiratory protection. The design of the INVADER Full-Cut ballistic helmet includes a trim contour for an extra-wide eye-port opening for maximum peripheral vision. The helmet also has a specially-engineered neck trim for providing enhanced coverage without limiting movement when used in tandem with most ballistic vests.

**Here are some things to consider when ordering a Ballistic Helmet. Will you be wearing COMs equipment in conjunction with your helmet? If so, you should measure your head for fit with the COMs headset on. If you are right on the fence between a “Medium” and a “Large” shell, we recommend going with the Large. Take it from us: your head will thank you.

Ballistic Performance

  • Resistant to penetration (V0) from a 9 mm Full Metal Jacketed Round Nose bullet with a nominal mass of 124 grains in accordance with NIJ 0106.01 at 1400 (+50) feet per second at 0° obliquity
  • Provides protection against select small arms projectiles including 7.62 x 51 mm M80 NATO ball projectile with V50 ballistic limit value >2,400 f/s (>731 m/s)
  • Ballistic transient deformation of the helmet shell does not cause deformation in clay in excess of 25 mm when tested against 9 mm projectile at 1400 (+50) feet per second (426 m/s) at 0° obliquity according to the US ACH CO/PD-05-04

Fragmentation Performance

  • Provides fragmentation protection against 17 grain .22 caliber FSP at >3,100 ft/s (>1000 m/s) V50 when tested in accordance to STANAG 2920

Helmet Sizing Circumference (inches): Helmet Sizing It is important that the helmet is fit properly to achieve the correct protection level for the wearer. Measuring to determine shell size: 1. The user must be seated in an upright position. 2. Measure the maximum head circumference by pressing the tape just above the bony eyebrow ridge of the forehead and above both ears. The tape measure must be pulled tightly. 3. Using the following table, select the helmet shell size.

  • M: (20 7/8-22 1/2″)
  • L: (22 1/2 – 23 1/4″)
  • XL: (23 1/4 – 24″)

Impact Protection: CE EN 1385 & ASTM F1492 U.S. Army – ACH Specification: Chinstrap Retention & Non Ballistic Impact Protection

  • Less than 150 G’s of Force Imparted to Head w/ Multiple Impacts up to 10fps
